Drawn for the parts of the outdoors that already had a name.

Ground effect is the drop in drag an aircraft gets flying within one wingspan of the ground. Pilots call this a cushion of air, though the FAA's handbook says the picture is imaginary. The tee prints the words under a taildragger held off the surface, with the line the cushion of air that will not let you down beneath it.

Tshirts are fine. Perhaps a tad too big compared to the a normal Large size. Certainly not a slim fit design. I waited quite a long period to get them, around a month.

What does ground effect mean?
Ground effect is the real, measurable drop in induced drag an aircraft experiences flying within about one wingspan of the ground, which briefly makes it fly more efficiently close to the surface. Pilots commonly picture this as a cushion of air underneath the wings, though the FAA's Airplane Flying Handbook calls that image imaginary rather than the true mechanism.
Where does the term ground effect come from?
Ground effect is a plain descriptive compound, ground plus effect, documented formally in the FAA's Airplane Flying Handbook. The handbook explains the real cause as reduced induced drag near the surface, while noting that pilots' common cushion of air description, though vivid, is not an accurate picture of what is happening.
