A nephophile is someone who loves clouds, from the Greek nephos, cloud, and phile, one who loves. The tee prints the word over nine cloud forms set out like a naming plate in an old field guide, each one its own portrait, with the line a lover of clouds beneath.

What is a nephophile?
A nephophile is a person who loves clouds: someone who stops to watch a cumulus build, knows a cirrus from a stratus and photographs the sky more than the view. The word joins the Greek nephos, cloud, to phile, one who loves. The scientific study of clouds is called nephology.
Is nephophile a real word?
Nephophile is built from real Greek parts and is widely used, but it is a modern coinage. You will find it in Wiktionary and on lists of words for nature lovers rather than in Merriam-Webster or Oxford. Ceraunophile, a lover of thunder and lightning, is made the same way.
What is printed on the nephophile T-shirt?
The word nephophile over nine cloud forms, each set out like a portrait on a field guide plate, with the line a lover of clouds beneath. It is printed on the front of a lightweight 4.5 oz cotton tee with a regular unisex fit and a printed neck label.
